Post-exam roundup

It’s been a while since I really wrote anything on my blog. I’m not really sure why, I think I just go through phases of doing things, and I haven’t really felt like blogging anything recently.

Anyway, I finished my exams last week, and since then I’ve been relaxing, and I’ve also been a little busy. On Friday Jonty came over and we played lots of guitar hero. When that became a little boring we made a cake, which was superb fun. Spending time with the Jarvis’ is always fun, and I was kindly invited over for lunch on Sunday too, it was a gorgeous day and I had a great time relaxing with them.

Saturday was spent in victoria park working on my sunburn (it has since turned from bright red to a nice shade of brown, lovely!) whilst playing various forms of sport. After that I went with a few friends to a nice country pub where we drank fine real ale together and enjoyed the sunshine. I also snuck in a pimms and lemonade, which is a sure sign that it is in fact the summer now!

Yesterday I met up with Susie and we sorted out all sorts of home group things, which is good, because every time we meet up I feel a little bit more organised about it all, and I’m very excited about the group and all the things which we plan to do together.

This afternoon I have been attempting to sort out my computer(s). Unfortunately the second PC I have, which I was going to fix up and give away, is completely shot and more than likely requires a new motherboard and processor. It’s rather old now, and not really worth the effort (or money) to fix, so I’m just going to throw it away. As for my PC, I’m having some minor issues with it, which I would have fixed today if I had a certain cable. Sadly, I don’t, so until I can be bothered to pop out to a computer store and buy one (it’ll probably cost about 50p), the minor problem will remain.

As for right now, I’m about to go over the second chapter of “Basics for Believers” before home group tonight. The chapter is entitled “Adopt Jesus’ death as a test of your outlook”, and it’s basically about how the Cross should affect the way we live. Scary and exciting stuff!
